We check substrate flatness, use the right thinset for the material and surface, and apply waterproofing membrane in wet areas before anything else. It adds time. It is also why our work holds up.

Large-format tiles need a flatter substrate tolerance. Natural stone needs sealing. Mosaics need careful alignment and lighter thinset coverage.
