We started Northbrook Tile Installer because we saw too many general contractors treating tile as an afterthought — squeezed into a renovation schedule, rushed, and done without the surface prep that actually makes it last. We wanted to do one thing and do it well.
Today our small crew handles tile installations across Northbrook, Glenview, Deerfield, and Northfield. The jobs vary — some are full primary bathroom renovations with large-format marble-look porcelain, some are a kitchen backsplash refresh in a 1970s ranch. What stays the same is our process: measure carefully, prep the substrate properly, set tile with consistent spacing, and clean up when we leave.
We are based in Northbrook, which means we know the area's housing stock. Older homes along the Green Bay Road corridor have different subfloor conditions than newer construction near Sanders Road. That familiarity matters when we are planning layouts and choosing the right adhesive system.
What we care about
Straight grout lines and tiles that stay bonded are the baseline. We also genuinely clean up. Tile work generates dust and debris. We bag it, protect adjacent floors, and leave the space the way we found it — minus the old tile and plus the new one.
